If you are looking to explore outside of your usual weekend brunch comfort zones, then I have just the place you should go and visit. Although off the beaten track a little, the trip is made worthwhile for those in need of a decent coffee. Latte Graphic serves coffee from Allpress, a popular New Zealand brand, which was enough to get my family through its doors.

As you enter Latte Graphic, you are instantly removed from the hustle and bustle that is Tokyo by the beachy tunes playing and a fabulous relaxed interior similar to what you may see in a cafe in Australia or New Zealand. We also loved the low lounge chairs, which make it very casual yet comfortable. For me, it feels like stepping home for just a little while. I particularly loved the Aussie and Kiwi maps that cover the wall on the large chalk board menu displays. The menus resemble newspapers (another relaxed touch), and are available in both English and Japanese with colorful images of the food choices.

For us, it is hard to beat a good old fashioned “big brekky” (¥930), which is even better value if you order it with the drink set (juice or coffee options available) for only an extra ¥200. The main drink menu includes homemade chai lattes, cappuccinos, piccolo lattes, flat whites, teas, juices and soft drinks.

On my next visit I will be tempted to try the eggs Benedict (¥780). Also on the brunch menu is bacon and tomato Benedict (¥830), a Spanish baked egg (¥780) and salmon hash browns (¥780), so there are plenty of options to make it worth going back. There is also a range of homemade sweets to choose from, and of course it wouldn’t be a Tokyo brunch without finishing off with pancakes (¥880)!

Although there isn’t a children’s menu, the staff happily made up our toddler his very own “little brekky” plate (¥320) with a complimentary orange juice. There is also wifi available for those needing to give the kids some iPad time while the adults enjoy their brunch.

For something a little more relaxing later in the day, Latte Graphic also serves Oceania wines, sangria, beer and cocktails with its lunch and dinner menus.

This little gem has become a regular favorite in our household.
